What Is PSYPACT and How It Benefits You
Saphier Wellness offers secure, virtual psychotherapy and psychological telehealth services to individuals in all PSYPACT-participating states. If you reside in a PSYPACT-approved state and are looking for online therapy with a licensed psychologist, you're in the right place.
What Is PSYPACT?
The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®) is an interstate agreement that allows licensed psychologists to offer telepsychology services and temporary in-person services across participating states without needing a separate license in each state.
This is especially helpful for:
College students studying out of state
Clients seeking continuity of care across state lines
Families or professionals managing care in multiple locations

Where Is PSYPACT Active?
As of now, the following states have enacted PSYPACT:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

What If You’re Not in a PSYPACT State?
Unfortunately, New York is not yet part of PSYPACT, meaning psychological services (psychotherapy and assessments) provided by a PSYPACT psychologist are not available to NY residents under PSYPACT rules.
However, Saphier Wellness is licensed in both New Jersey and New York, so if you're a NY resident, we can still see you for therapy, psychiatric care, and evaluations directly under our New York licensure.
Why Choose a PSYPACT Provider?
Choosing a PSYPACT-authorized provider ensures that you're working with a verified, licensed psychologist who meets high standards of training, ethics, and legal compliance across multiple states.
Whether you're in college, moving, or just need the flexibility of virtual therapy, PSYPACT expands access to qualified care — safely and legally.
How to Verify Your PSYPACT Provider
Not all licensed psychologists are authorized to practice under PSYPACT. To legally offer telepsychology services across state lines, a psychologist must hold an active Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) or a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP) — both granted by the PSYPACT Commission.
✅ Saphier Wellness is a verified PSYPACT provider under Dr. Anne Rothenberg, who holds an active APIT credential, allowing her to provide virtual therapy to clients across all PSYPACT-participating states.
To confirm a provider’s PSYPACT credentials:
Visit the official directory: VerifyPSYPACT.org
Enter the provider’s name (e.g., Anne Rothenberg)
Look for “Active” status under APIT or TAP
